Spirit Team

Purpose of the Activity

The Spirit Team's main duty is to promote school spirit! Spirit Team members make posters, cheer for school sports' teams, and help with pep assemblies. During games, the Spirit Team performs to engage the crowd and leads cheers and chants. Our Spirit Team is made up of two squads: poms and cheerleading. Our Spirit Team members will work closely together to perform and cheer for the boys' basketball teams!

Tryout Procedures

All students are welcome to participate in Spirit Team.

Tryouts take place after school in October.

Many students have trouble deciding between poms and cheerleading. Our Spirit Team is special in that our cheer and pom team members all get along and work together. We all warm up together and do some common routines throughout the season. You will need to decide what your first and second choices are at tryouts. We will do our best to give you your first choice.

So, how do you decide which to put as your first choice? Our best advice is to follow your own heart. If you like to tumble and do stunts, cheerleading is probably your best choice. If you love to dance, dance, dance, then the pom team is probably for you.
