A and B 7th-grade girls' volleyball team: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29.

A and B 8th-grade girls volleyball team: 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 12, 16, 18, 20, 23, 27, 30, 31, 34, 36, 37, 42, 46, 48, 51, 53, 64, 67, 72.

Practice tomorrow, Wednesday, January 13, after school followed by 5 p.m. Parent Meeting.

Volleyball Tryout Information

Girls Volleyball Tryouts start after Winter Break on Tuesday, Jan. 6. Students MUST attend all four tryout days -- Jan. 6, 7, 8, and 12. Before Tryouts: All students must have a valid sports physical and permission to participate form on file. Registration must be completed prior to tryouts. Arrange transportation home since tryouts finish by 5:30 p.m.

Purpose of the Activity

Develop the volleyball players offensive and defensive skills with daily drills

Explore volleyball concepts such as offensive and defensive team and individual strategies
Provide feedback from experienced Daniel Wright Coaching Staff
Prepare athletes for competition

Tryout Procedures

Tryouts take place in January.

The following documents must be on file with the coach to participate:

Current Sports Physical Form (Physicals for sports are valid for 395 days from the date of the examination)
Permission to Participate Form
Concussion Consent Form
Consent Form for Athletic Handbook and Code of Conduct

Number of Participants

There is a limit on the number of participants.

Grade Level/s of Participants

Volleyball is open to students in seventh- and eighth-grade.

Meeting Schedule and Location

Dates: Winter Sport
Time: 3:45 - 4:55 p.m.
Days: Monday - Thursday; no Friday practices
Game Time: After school as soon as both teams arrive on the field
Locations:
- Practices: Daniel Wright gym
- Games: Daniel Wright and feeder schools
