Bicycle Safety

Safety is a priority for any student walking, biking, or rolling to school. Please follow these guidelines:

• Stay on the village trails.

• Follow traffic signals and crossing guard directions.

• Wear a bicycle helmet.

• Adjust your bicycle to fit and ensure your bicycle equipment (brakes, tires) are in good working order.

• See and be seen by vehicular traffic.

• Watch for and avoid road hazards.

• E-bikes and e-scooters must be operated in pedal-only mode while on school grounds.

• Please review the police department’s flyer about the use of E-bikes on village roads and prohibited vehicles on streets and paths. The police department would like to remind families that the following vehicles are prohibited on Lincolnshire streets and bike paths: dirt bikes, E-Scooters, mini motorcycles, golf carts, and E-bikes.
