Walk and Roll to School
Dozens of students engaged with Lincolnshire police officers on National Walk and Roll to School Day, celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 9. As students were climbing on their bikes or scooting away from Daniel Wright, officers joined them and chatted about the benefits of walking, biking, and rolling to/from school.
“Walk and Roll to School Day creates positive community relationships and helps build trust between law enforcement and young people,” explained Village of Lincolnshire Police Officer Patrick Kreis, who spearheaded the DW event.
Added Principal Jessica Groncki, "National Bike to School Day is an amazing opportunity to bring our school and community together in such a positive and meaningful way. It not only promotes health and fitness but also encourages students to connect outside of the classroom with important community members. It's wonderful to see the energy and excitement as students ride together, building a sense of camaraderie and community spirit."
